Choose Monk if you want active melee, movement, and payoff windows. Avoid Monk as your first build if you want slow tank pacing, passive damage, or the lowest possible input route.

For most searchers, start with a lightning Monk or palm leveling route. Falling Thunder gives the build a clearer damage identity, while Killing Palm and Tempest Bell reward players who enjoy timing.
Monk is a valid beginner route only for players who want active movement and timing. If the player wants low pressure, send them to Beginner Builds or Easy Builds before they commit to Monk.
Use Falling Thunder for early lightning identity, add Tempest Bell when single-target payoff matters, then compare Killing Palm or Staggering Palm if the player wants finisher timing.
Monk is good for active players, but it is not the lowest-input beginner route. Choose it if movement and timing sound fun.
Start with the Monk Leveling Build, then compare Falling Thunder if you want a clearer lightning melee identity.
